Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"This is such an amazing place to eat, what comes out of that kitchen is delicious and plentiful. Make time to visit, the Xmas specials are brilliant."
"Dog friendly tea room/cafe on a riding stable property. Friendly helpful staff with good food and generous portions. Just what we wanted."
"Update 15 April 23. Went for breakfast after a walk. Big breakfast option including beverage plus 2 orange juices, £21. Bug breakfast comprised of 2 x bacon, egg, sausage, hash browns, toast and beans, mushrooms and tomatoes. Plus tea or coffee £8.50. Bloody excellent value. Took my sausages home for the dog as a treat. I ate the rest! A little gem, tucked away, overlooking the Squirrels Riding School. Used as a pit stop from a long walk. Open 7 days a week, not sure of hours though. Food freshly cooked and very reasonably priced. Staff were lovely and welcoming. Shall definitely be going back. I had a bacon and egg sandwich, my friend, dippy eggs with soldiers, 3 cups of tea and an orange juice, £16."
"Put your blinkers on before entering this place because it's so hard to resist the sweet treats on offer. The cakes and apple pie look scrumptious. We had a traditional breakfast which was great."
"My first visit to this little cafe today. What a lovely little gem. Definitely coming back soon to try their breakfast. Massive bonus point for being dog friendly"
"Tucked away but well worth finding! Big breakfast was amazing . £8 for 2 sausages, 2 bacon, 2 eggs, 2 hash browns, mushrooms, beans and tomatoes…oh and the warm buttered toast. ‘Dog breakfast’ was an added bonus for our dog. Staff really lovely and service quick. Will definitely be going back!"
"Lovely tea room with lovely friendly staff. We ordered a big breakfast (which was massive!) and a carrot and coriander soup (also a very large portion). All food was delicious. The tea room was very clean, comfy seats and a view of the paddock, there were lots of young riders with sweet ponies while we were there. Really glad we found this place, the cakes looked amazing but we were so full we didn't get chance to sample them. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this delightful place"
"Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon. We were about to walk past but I saw the sign at the top of the lane and had to go in as it's been recommended previously. We had a tea and a piece of cake each, which we enjoyed outside while watching the horse riding lessons in the sun. The ladies were lovely and super helpful. Will definitely be back."
